Lakers’ Kwame Brown faces misdemeanor charges in Georgia

Keeping track of athlete misconduct is proving to be a full time job. Kwame Brown has become the first basketball player to score points in the Sportaphile Fantasy Criminal League.

Police pulled over Brown’s cousin Charles Warren Jr. this weekend for driving the wrong way down a one way street, and smelled alcohol in the vehicle while questioning. Kwame decided help his cousin out, and became “disruptive and tried to interfere with the officers’ investigation”, which earned him a quick trip to the jailhouse.

Brown was charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer after his cousin arrested for investigation of driving under the influence, McGraw said.

Brown, 25, was released shortly after his arrest. Jail officials had no record of how much he paid in bond. He likely will appear in court within two months, McGraw said.

Two misdemeanor charges will earn Kwame 100 points for the Basketball squad. Good lookin out, homie!
