Can We Give The Rookie Of The Year To Adrian Peterson Early?

Without a doubt, Adrian Peterson has stuck out head and shoulders above the rest of the the rookie class of 2007. While Marshawn Lynch has done great in Buffalo with his rough style, Peterson is completely blowing defenses out of the water. Adrian is doing what Reggie Bush was supposed to do last year. Like the rest of the country, I was skeptical about his durability but so far he’s proving to be just fine.

What’s so crazy is, Minnesota isn’t even playing this guy as much as they should. He’s cracked the 100 yard mark a few times with around 15 carries per game. I know management wants to be loyal to Chester Taylor, but it’s time for him to take a seat. Check out this video of Adrian demolishing the tough Chicago Bears defense today.

For defensive rookie of the year, keep an eye on Patrick Willis of the San Francisco 49ers, he’s a monster.
