Miguel Cotto Defeats Shane Mosley
November 10th, 2007 . by DellIn a very close entertaining fight, Miguel Cotto took home the unanimous decision victory over Mosley tonight. The official scorecards were 115-113, 115-113, and 116-112.
For those of you who didn’t get a chance to watch it, this was very similar to De La Hoya vs. Trinidad, except the outcome went the other way. Cotto looked like the better fighter for the first half of the bout. Suddenly in the middle of round 8 he starts backing away from Mosley out of the blue. He simultaneously ran while taking punishment for rounds 8 and 9. In rounds 10,11, and 12 he fought a little more, but clearly didn’t have the will to fight that he showed in the earlier rounds.
The match was still close, but I wanted and expected Shane to win. It’s criminal to see someone run in the last three rounds and still come away with the victory.
In my own little way I’m happy to see Cotto win, so he can get his ass handed to him by Floyd Mayweather next year.

Thats what happens when you’re a nuthugging boxer fan and not a boxing fan. Your fighter lost and know you wish the worst for Cotto. I pitty you : (
and I “pitty” your spelling.
Cotto is a bum.
