Round 1:
Hatton comes out aggressive, stalking a defensive floyd. Floyd lands the first good shot of the fight, a left hook. Hatton lands a great shot and catches Floyd off balance, the crowd roars..Floyd almost went down but kept his feet. Hatton has been the more effective fighter in round one due to the pressure

Hatton comes out fast, stalking floyd again… Floyd is doing a much better job of keeping hatton off of him this round but he still looks very uncomfortable… Theres a lot of clenching and holdinig. The ref is warning both guys to stop holding and wrestling so much… Mayweather is holding more than Hatton is surprisingly.

Round 3:
The fight is ugly so far, theres no consistent action because the guys are locking up when Ricky Hatton rushes in. Hatton is cut right now… Mayweather is potshotting and holding. It doesn’t look pretty at all but its getting the job done. Currently mayweather has landed 33% of his punches, and Hatton’s percentage is somewhere in the 20%s. It’s really hard to call who’s winning because theres so much holding going on.

Round 4:
More of the same… Floyd is landing his shots cleanly.. Hatton’s cut looks a little nasty. Floyd’s counterpunching is looking great… Ricky is definitely fighting the kind of fight he wants but Floyd is looking better and better as the fight goes on. This was the clear win for floyd

Hatton comes out sticking to his gameplan, swarming, keeping Floyd backed up, not letting Floyd get to the middle of the ring and dance around. Hatton isn’t punching himself out, but he’s still being very physical. Hatton hasn’t necessarily landed any big shots but he’s dictating the action in this round and probably takes it.

Hatton loses a point from the ref!.. Joe Cortez says Hatton punched mayweather in the back of the head, but Hatton defends himself by saying Floyd turned around causing him to punch him in the head by accident. Floyd is using his elbows a little but hasn’t gotten caught…

Very ugly fight.. the guys are tying up.. clenching.. pounding inside. Ricky is doing a great job of making Mayweather fight the kind of fight he wanted but Floyd is still landing the cleaner punches. Like Hatton said, floyd is WORKING for everything he gets… Floyd takes another close round

Round 8
Floyd actually stunned hatton with a straight right punch. Floyd is dominating this round so far.. Hatton is eating the punches and showing no signs of going down however. Hatton backs Floyd up to the ropes in the later half of the round… Ricky is getting my respect for giving Floyd a hard fight. Floyd is pouring it on in the last 30 seconds of the fight. He has hatton on the points pouring on punishment, the crowd is going CRAZY. Hatton took the shots like a champ.

Ricky Hatton keeps coming forward, he’s not discouraged even though Floyd is getting the best of him. Floyd is picking his shots and landing with higher accuracy. Hatton has a great chin. Floyd’s snapping hattons head back with the jab. Hatton is coming forward being aggressive but he just isnt landing enough punches.

DOWN GOES HATTON!!! Left hook from Floyd!.. Hattoon gets up….goes down again. Hatton’s corner throws in the towel as the ref stops the fight
