When did Jerry Rice morph into a lil b*&#h!

Jerry, aka the GOATAWR, can you please sit down somewhere!?,
It’s not about you anymore. What happened to all your class and dignity?! Moss, aka Mr. Requires a double team, wasn’t even talkin about you. He was referring to the media but you had to insert yourself into the conversation. Jerry, you are first ballot HOF to even casual football fans. You are the blueprint, the path that other WRs follow. We even forgave you for continuing to play and tarnishing your legacy with that Raider stint.
Remember Jerry that records are meant to be broken. Take a page from Hank Aaron’s response to Barry Bonds breaking his record. Be gracious and move on. Moss didn’t get drafted onto a team with ships (championships) and rangs (championship rings) and a starting HOF QB and a sitting HOF QB. Moss has been carrying QBs his entire career. He is simply the most athletic WR to ever lace them up, and he was teamed with a HOF QB for the first time. Did you really think Moss wouldn’t come for a some of your records?! Then MAN UP!
This is your first outburst, but don’t let this happen again.

I agree and disagree with certain parts of the post.
Jerry Rice definitely got a little butt hurt when Moss wasn’t even disrespecting him. I think Jerry is ultra sensitive because he still wants to play football and is a really competitive guy. He doesn’t really mean what he says about Randy, in my opinion at least.
I disagree with the part about him tarnishing his legacy in Oakland. He was a big reason they even made it to the SuperBowl, that offense was deadly.
I don’t see how Oakland didn’t tarnish the luster of the GOATAWR’s legacy. You had a regular season MVP, Tim Brown, Charlie Garner, and Jerry Porter. Instead of bein Jerry Rice, he was one weapon among many.
He was one weapon among many in San Francisco too. Joe Montana, Steve Young, Roger Craig, Ronnie Lott, Deion Sanders, Charles Haley, Ken Norton Jr, John Taylor.
Just because you’re alongside great players doesn’t necessarily diminish your role.
Keep in mind that Jerry Porter’s BEST season came from when he played with Rice and Brown. So who exactly was helping who?
By the time Rice was shown the door in SF, he had been in the league for what 12-13 seasons? Of course Porter’s best year was when Rice arrived. Brown Rice weren’t spring chickens anymore, but you couldn’t dismiss them out of hand.
Porter was the deep threat, and mostly drew a lesser DB in 3 WR sets because you have Brown Rice.
yeah but that has nothing to do with your original points lol.
You said instead of “being jerry rice” he was just another weapon in Oakland, when in fact, he played with hall of famers for his entire career, even when he was in his prime. So if it didn’t affect his status in SF, it shouldnt affect his status in Oakland.
Rice was still the best wide receiver on the Raiders. During their super bowl season in 2002, Rice had more catches and yards than both Brown and Porter.
Porter hasnt been feared by anyone after Rice and Brown left, which should lead you to believe he isn’t as good as people thought.
Which brings us full circle to the original issue… he went to Oakland, played 3 full seasons, made it to a super bowl, and was the best receiver on the team.
I can’t call that “tarnishing” a legacy. If we were talking about his stint in Denver, then maybe you’d have a point.
