Two and a half months ago, when I first posted about how Snoop Dogg and David Beckham were totally BFF, I was understandably skeptical. Let’s recap:

This whole thing is totally random and left me scratching my head. There are various explanations as to whats going on here, which could be one of the following scenarios:

1. Snoop is just high, and completely made all of this up after hitting the purp a few times. (highly likely)

2. It’s true, David Beckham is trying to earn his ghetto pass (much like Justin Timberlake did a few years back) by linking up with Snoop Dogg.

3. Snoop is using David Beckham to try and gain entry back into the United Kingdom.

It looks like number one is definitely false, because Snoop and Beckham are teaming up to release a line of slippers…. yes…. slippers. When the biggest soccer star in the world, and a hip hop legend team up, you get cozy foot warmers. Nothing says “athletics and lyricism” like warm foot coverings. What does Snoop Dogg have to say for himself?

“I got David a pair of slippers as a present and he took a picture of him wearing them and sent it to me. I was like, ‘They look cool,’ Snoop exclaimed. “We are talking about making a slipper together. So when I stop rapping and he stops playing soccer, we can kick back and slip on a house shoe.”

I haven’t been this disappointed since Arby’s stopped selling those philly cheesesteak flatbread sandwiches….
