Hectic few days for Sportaphile. As you can see we’ve updated the site and it looks great. (RSS Subscribers, click over for a moment to check us out).

New Look

1. We’ve got a rotating banner at the top of the site now. Each time you refresh the page you should see a different image. (Tom Brady isn’t in yet, but he will be unfortunately). Shout out to Erican for all the nerd work, and Gin Gin for creating the ladies banner.

- There should be banners for football, baseball, basketball, and chicks when it’s all said and done.
- the search function now works (and looks much cooler than our last one)
- clicking the header now takes you back to the home page (i know that drove some people crazy on the old version)

2. Sportaphile is looking for contributors! You don’t exactly have to be a journalist, but you DO have to know your stuff. (that way we can say we have at least one competent staffer) We aren’t looking for someone to simply report the news. If you’re the type that doesn’t mind expressing their views (and most importantly backing them up), while having fun… join the gang.

- Past experience working/writing on a blog is preferred.
- Hit us @ sportaphile[at]gmail with a writing sample and/or a little bit about yourself.

For those of you who don’t use RSS at all, for the LOVE OF GOD, get with the program. It’s 2008 and you’re still wasting time reading your favorite sites one by one? Step your game up and get Google Reader and then sign up for instant updates from Sportaphile
