WOW you’re an idiot!

What is it about the Super Bowl that makes players lose their minds and get into trouble? Awasom was pulled over at 3am for suspicion of DUI, arrested, and later released. The team promptly packed his bags and sent him home.

The good news is, Awasom was on injured reserve and wasn’t going to participate in Sunday’s game anyways. The bad news is he’s bringing negative attention to his team and will most likely be released. I remember Eugene Robinson picking up hookers before his Atlanta Falcons played in the Super Bowl, and Barrett Robbins going M.I.A. before the Raiders played in the big game. BOTH of these teams lost a few days later, so this doesn’t look good for New York.

This also counts as 50 points in the Criminal Fantasy League, be on the lookout for a full update by tomorrow morning.

They sure do have a lot of things going against them this weekend. Does anybody recall a time where a player was arrested before a super bowl and his team still won the game?
