It’s finally here, Kelly Pavlik and Jermain Taylor will be slugging it tonight in a rematch of 2007′s most exciting fight.

I’m going out on a limb and saying Taylor wins this by K.O in round 8.

update 8:40pm: SHIT! the fight started early…

I’ve been watching the Kimbo Slice undercard on Showtime while waiting on Pavlik Taylor to start. Looks like it started a little earlier than 9pm. They’re in round 6 right now, and from what the announcers are saying… Jermain Taylor has a slight lead.

Round 7 - Jermain Taylor has slight swelling in his left eye, but is pumping the jab and staying active. He landed a nice body shot midway through the round… Pavlik started landing near the end of the round but not enough to turn things around. .

Round 8 – Pavlik is bleeding from the nose.. Taylor clinching a little … the action isnt blazing but consistent. Nice body shot by Pavlik.. Taylor scores near the end of the round… This was a close around, could go either way, but Taylor gets it for the cleaner punches. My prediction of an 8th round knockout is out of the window.

Round 9 - Kelly Pavlik is putting in some damned good body work… earlier in the fight it looked like it was looking for one big shot at times, but he’s buckled down. Taylor is throwing alot but not doing very much damage.. This was the first clear round for Pavlik since I picked up the action

Round 10 - This fight is just as close as everyone thought it’d be… both guys are pumping the jab in between their money punches. Pavlik is going for the body work, while taylor is throwing big right hands…. Jermain is fighting in bursts while Pavlik is the more consistent.. its sort of like the late rounds of Roy Jones/Trinidad… except JT isnt scoring as much… Taylor gets round 10 though…

Round 11- VERY important round for Pavlik… although Larry Merchant and Harold Lederman have Pavlik up on their scorecards.. It looks like JT is ahead to me overall.. pavlik put in great work in round 11… including a bodyshot at the end that seemed to hurt taylor. Either that or Taylor is really tired… Pavliks round

Round 12- Taylor is tired…. Pavlik is working for this round.. i think he know he needs it. Taylor is punching in spurts but basically trying to hold on… Looks like someone didnt spend enough time building cardio in camp.. Pavlik gets this round

The decision is in…. Pavlik wins by unanimous decision… wow…. theres going to be some CRYING going on… I don’t believe the fight was as one sided as the judges scored it.
