Sugar Shane Mosley vs. Zab Judah: Coming May 31st
February 25th, 2008 . by Dell
If two boxers who got their ass kicked by Miguel Cotto fight in Las Vegas, do they make a sound?
Zab Judah and Shane Mosley will battle it out this summer in a fight titled “High Stakes”. The title is appropriate because whoever loses this fight is pretty much done in terms of being a marquee draw in this business. Although I thought the Mosley/Cotto fight was close, Shane originally said he was going to retire. He must have changed his mind when he viewed the tapes, because now he’s talking like he’s nowhere near hanging up the gloves.
“I’m just trying to get back in there with Cotto and fight him again because I believe I can take him, so this is a real must-win for me,” Mosley said. “There are a lot of great fights out there that I want to be in the mix for, so it’s important. It’s important for me and Zab. I cant wait. It’s going to be fun.”
“I was supposed to fight Mayorga but [his promoter] Don King wasn’t really helpful in that fight, so we couldn’t make the fight,” Mosley said. “So then it came down to Judah and Quintana. We thought Zab was a bigger fight even though it wasn’t for a title. I think Zab’s a bigger name. Maybe I can fight Quintana later. I’d like that. But right now, it’s Judah. It’s a done deal. We’ll go out there and mix it up.”
I think Mosley is going to destroy Judah, it may last into the middle rounds while Shane adjusts to Judah’s speed, but I’m looking for a knockout. Shane is neck and neck with Zab in speed, but he possesses more technical skills and that will really show.

Shane did look good in that match with Cotto. I thought dude was gonna knock him out. I was surprised he talked about retiring, because I figured losing that fight would have re-invigorated him. I guess it just took a lil time.
Sugar Shane also has skillz on the basketball courts…he plays in the NBAE league. He has lighting quick reflexes and can sink the jumper!
Two fights I plan to see: May 16th in Honolulu, Hawaii… Mia St. John… (and) Judah vs. Sugar Shane on May 31st. I’ll go with Judah over Sugar Shane in an upset !
Jeff Langton world class corner and cut man who has worked with such notables as Freddie Pendleton and Tony “TNT” Tucker predicts Sugar Shane in a romp ! Jeff was featured with Sugar Shane in an episode on Las Vegas t.v. program.
Jeff Langton also is an actor extraordinaire !
Here is a photo of him with Sugar Shane on Las Vegas t.v. program

[...] slightly interesting thing about this May 31st date, is that it’s the very same night Zab Judah and Sugar Shane Mosley step into the ring for a huge fight. I’m not sure what time CBS plans on airing this MMA [...]
this is realy messed up. both of my favorite
fighters are about to bang out in the ring.but if
it had to come down to that it’ll be mosley because he hits harder and he’s fast to so he’s kind of a balenced fighter he will take him out in the 7/8 round.
This fight belongs on Regular HBO, not PPV. Both fighters are coming off losses. What makes this fight so special? Sure it’s a good match up, but not worth 50 bucks. I think I’ll pass on this one and take the ole lady out to eat.
Well the fight was cancelled last week when zab judah cut his arm. So he just made your decision a lot easier
