Shout Out To Adonal Foyle And His Donkey
March 10th, 2008 . by Dell
I spend a fair amount of time giving attention to people like Pacman Jones, and Floyd Mayweather wasting stacks of money. Therefore, It’s only right to dedicate a post to the frugal nature of Adonal Foyle, who shows black athletes don’t all waste their money on rims and strippers. Check out this snippet from his convo with Florida Today’s John Denton.
“Guys talk about having to have this car and that car, but I tell them, ‘One car is plenty for me. I grew up riding a donkey,‘ ” Foyle says with a hearty laugh. “When you grow up with so little, it teaches you discipline. And you learn not to want for what you don’t need. You learn how to do with what you have. It’s a lesson a lot of guys in the NBA need to learn, because this is such an unrealistic way to live your life.”
Growing up in the hoods of America is a hell of a lot different than growing up in the hood in Africa. If I saw a real life donkey I wouldn’t go near it. The only animals I’m used to seeing regularly are pitbulls, pigeons, and cats.

too good.. i really laughed out loud at the donkey, and now i’m laughing again. thank you.
I have to echo Scott’s sentiments, this is too funny. Also, may I recommend a trip to see some of your country cousins sometime soon? Being scared of donkeys ain’t a ggod look.
