DeAngelo Hall To The Raiders Would Work If This Were A Movie

March 15th, 2008 . by Dell

Deangelo RaiderSo, the Oakland Raiders continued their offseason reign of terror today, by trading a second round pick for troubled cornerback DeAngelo Hall.

So let’s get this straight.

-The Raiders only won 4 out of 16 games last season.
-The owner doesn’t like the head coach, and doesn’t want him there.
-They’ve blown tons of money on free agents who may not be worth it.
-Warren Sapp retired.
-The quarterback may or may not weigh 300lbs.
-And now they want to bring a certified troublemaker onto the team?

A dysfunctional player going to a dysfunctional team will obviously not work. This is like Britney Spears moving in with DMX so they can help each other get off drugs.

If this were an inspirational sports movie, the band of misfits that are the Oakland Raiders would fight in training camp, but overcome their differences. The new team would bond on a week long retreat in Yosemite Valley and take the NFL by storm. In week 10 the team would be devastated by the sudden death of team mate Justin Fargas, but rally in his memory to win Super Bowl 44.

… but this isn’t a movie. These bastards are going to tear each other apart in the locker room.
