Arthur Blank And Michael Vick Have Been Keeping In Touch From Prison

This was somewhat of a shocker to me.

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur blank revealed that he and Michael Vick have exchanged a few letters since the star quarterback entered federal prison late in 2007. Despite his horrible reputation in the mainstream media, Vick is beloved by a good portion of Falcon fans and the black community. Therefore I can understand why Blank wants to keep the lines of communication open.

I haven’t gotten a chance to read any of Mike’s letters to Arthur, but I suppose they would go a little something like this….

Dear Art,

I heard you made a comment on Monday Night Football about me eating too much fried chicken while I’m in here, I don’t think you’ll have to worry because I haven’t been eating much. This really big inmate that looks like Grady Jackson asked me if “I was gon’ eat my conebread” one day, although I was really hungry I just gave it to him anyways. Since that evening “Grady” has been taking large portions of my food, so my weight should not be a factor upon my release. I have attached a photo of Grady and the boys so you can get a look at the guys.

I was beginning to think that the organization was going to move on without me until you signed Joey Harrington and Byron Leftwich… LOL! That left no doubt in my mind that the starting position would be open when I get out of here in 2009. I’m going to have to cut this letter short, lights out at 9pm!

I don’t care what anybody says or writes, I miss seeing Michael Vick play football. I really appreciate the dynamics he brought to football and look forward (God-willing) to seeing him play sooner rather than later. I really feel that there were other reasons that contributed to his conviction.

I feel you Joyce… I miss seeing Vick on the field too. I hope he’ll be reinstated to the NFL immediately after his release but you never know what Roger Goodell is going to do.
