Chris Henry: A Damned Good Receiver, But An Even Better Criminal

April 3rd, 2008 . by Dell

Before we get to anything I have to say this.

YOU’RE A MILLIONAIRE, COMB YOUR DAMNED HAIR

Chris Henry’s mugshotBetween Chad Johnson pulling a T.O. this offseason, and Chris Henry being fired from the team…. I bet Carson Palmer weeps himself to sleep every night. If anyone has a right to demand a trade, it would definitely be Carson.

Chris Henry, the talented half-elf receiver, has been released by the Cincy Bengals for punching an 18 year old kid in the face. This is his fifth time being arrested in the last three years… those are DMX kind of stats. Bengals president Mike Brown threw in the towel… I wonder what team steps up to take Chris next.. Oh wait, there won’t be a next time. I’m fairly certain Roger Goodell is never letting this guy back into the league, and if he does it will be at least 2 years from now.

“The Bengals tried for an extended period of time to support Chris and his potentially bright career,” Brown said. “We had hoped to guide him toward an appropriate standard of personal responsibility that this community would support and that would allow him to play in the NFL. … But those efforts end today, as we move on with what is best for our team.”

If you were forced to bake crakers in a hollowed out tree as kid you’d constantly be in trouble with the law too.

I think the players union was stupid for not having a very defined player conduct policy in place instead of this “well you been in the news, so no matter the outcome its a strike” vague policy that they have right now. Its unbelievable what a disservice that policy really is.
