Olympic Protestors Stage Demonstration On Golden Gate Bridge
April 7th, 2008 . by DellHere in the Bay Area, there’s been talk of how to deal with potential Olympic protesters due to our large Asian population. The torch is coming to town on Wednesday, and there would undoubtedly be tons of angry “Free Tibet” hippies getting rowdy.
The protesters were one step ahead of the authorities, instead of waiting til Wednesday, they climbed up the golden gate bridge today (as in right now), and unveiled two huge banners. One reads “FREE TIBET ’08″ and the other reads “ONE WORLD, ONE DREAM”.
Traffic on the bridge is absolutely insane, and it’s been shut down to pedesterians at the moment. One of the protesters actually called the local news station as she hangs from the top of the bridge. She gave the predictable statements about how she wants to raise awareness, yada yada yada.
Once they come down, they’ll face a 10,000 fine and community service… big deal. Here’s a crappy pic I took of my TV.




















The torch still got to get through the European gauntlet. That jawn has blown out in London and Paris. Don’t be surprised if they just quit and go back to Beijing.
