Last night Miguel Cotto destroyed Alfonso Gomez, after the first round the fight took on a very pitiful quality. I’m not ashamed to admit I despise Cotto, so seeing him act so cocky while simultaneously killing Gomez was not fun to watch.

Next up, Cotto will take on Antonio Margarito on July 26th in what should be a very entertaining fight. The winner of Cotto and Margarito will be the #1 contender to face Floyd Mayweather.

The crazy part of this is, some people on the internet are crazy enough to want to put Cotto ahead of Floyd in the P2P rankings based on this performance. Gomez wasn’t exactly a bum, but he’s not a top 10 fighter in the welterweight division right now.
