The shine has been knocked off this series

The Boston Celtics have finally advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals to play the Detroit Pistons.  The Pistons have been on ice for a good minute waitin.

The C’s have been in two straight Game 7s.  This was the team that smacked teams around in the regular season bein tested by the Atlanta Hawks and the James gang (aka the Cleveland Cavaliers).

Stank-0 would count the Cs out but they are as overwhelmingly good at home as they underwhelmingly bad on the road.

The Pistons managed to win a road playoff game in the second round, which few other teams (the Lakers to date) have been able to do.  They have been here before (numerous times) so this is nothing new.  Sheed is dialed in and playin some ball.  Detroit has been to the conference finals a record number of times: 6.

Conclusions:  This series displays two evenly matched teams.  Stank-0 firmly believes that the NBA “works to get the results they want,” and the NBA doesn’t want another Finals ratings disaster a la the Spurs-Cavaliers execution last year.  The Pistons don’t have the sex appeal the Celtics do…so expect a few shady calls.  Expect this series to go the full 7, and expect the Celtics to advance.  Not necessarily because they are better but because that makes sense.  If it makes cents it gotta make dolla’s.
