The Green Bay Packers Are Offering Brett Favre $20 Million To STAY AWAY???

WOW.
I’m watching ESPN’s Mike & Mike In The Morning and they’re discussing the report of the Green Bay Packers offering Brett $20 million dollars over 10 years just to STAY HOME. I cannot believe this shit…..I just can’t.
They are SO threatened with the possibility of Brett Favre putting on a Chicago Bears/Minnesota Vikings uniform that they’re willing to give him an absurd amount of money for free. Could they possibly be any more dramatic about this situation? Why not just release him and get on with your lives? The Packers have defended their decision not to release Brett Favre as “a matter of business” for an entire month now. How is it a better “business decision” to give him $20 million dollars just to stay at home?
The cap hit Green Bay takes if they release Favre is considerably less than the $20 million he gets if he takes their offer and never plays football again. We’re in a recession right now and people are losing their jobs and struggling all over the country, why not just release Brett and do something constructive with that extra money? Is it wrong to take a public relations hit and let Favre go to Chicago, then use that $20 million dollars to give to poor families?
If anyone finds my blogging objectionable and wants to pay me not to write anymore… I’m all ears. Opening bids start at $50,000.
