The undercard matchip between Andre Berto & Steve Forbes is set to begin round 8, the way things are going it could possibly go the distance. That would push the start of Mayorga vs. Mosley to nearly 8:45. Stay tuned and refresh this page for updates.

Round - 1 Ricardo comes out firing as usual, although hes still wild he’s conserving himself much more than we’re used to. Shane is mostly o n the defensive…waiting out a spot. The way Shane is responding it seems as if Ricardo may have gotten under his skin. Mayorga has connected with some pretty good punches late in the round. Shane wasnt terribly fazed but it got his attention.

Round - 2 The first half off the round is pretty subdued… Shane is extremely reserved and he’s taking his dads advice of waiting for Mayorga to get tired. Nobody has clearly won the round with 30 seconds left…. Mayorga charges in with wild shots.. most of them missed but he landed a good uppercut.

Round - 3 I dont want to get too ahead of myself.. but through 3 rounds Shane looks just a little bit frazzled. Mayorga isnt going to respect him until Shane knocks the piss out of him.. So far Shane is just simply dodging and waiting for his opponent to get tired. Theres a minute left in the round and Shane hasn’t done much.

Round - 4 This fight is incredibly sloppy (would you expect anything different from Ricardo?)… Through the first 2 minutes of the round, Shane is landing the better punches, Maybe he’s figuring Mayorga out.

Round - 5 Mosley is continuing his success in round 4 by getting the best of Mayorga… The boxing skill of Mosley may become more of a factor as the fight goes on… Ricardo didn’t land anything significant so this is another round for Mosley.

Round - 6 Shane is opening up his offense… he throws a 3 punch combo and all three land cleanly on Mayorga… Ricardo smiles and asks for more (a sign that he’s gonna get his ass kicked soon). He’s trying to get in Shanes head….. not working so far.

Round - 7 Mayorga is putting up a better fight through the first two minutes of this round … Shane is backing off just a little.. I dont know if the announcers will acknowledge it, but Mayorga snuck up and won round 7 and took Shanes momentum

Round - 8 Ricardo is back to having shane fight his fight. Shane is completely frustrated and spent the entire round ducking Mayorga’s wild shots and grabbing him when he charged in. Very sloppy round.

Round - 9 Theres more o the same from round 8… although shane controlled the middle of the fight, Im starting to think he’s discouraged that he hit Mayorga cleanly so many times and it didnt seem to have much of an effect. I honestly cant call this one because neither guy is landing clean shots.

Round 10 - Harold Lederman has Mosley leading by 3 rounds but I’m not exactly sure 2 of those should have gone his way…. This fight is very sloppy and theres not a lot of continuous action going on. The problem with this bout is that Shane doesn’t have the power or intimidation factor to knock the piss out of Ricardo like he needs to…. and Ricardo doesnt have the skill or handspeed to cleanly hit Shane.

Round 11 - This fight is becoming dreadful. More wrestling, more holding, more missed punches… There was a nice exchange between the two in the final minute. Shane caught Ricardo with a vicious hook and Mayorga took it and smiled .

Round 12 -Shane is outboxing Mayorga down the stretch of the last round. Ricardo wobbles Mosley with one minute left and shane battles back… Shane sends ricardo to the mat with 10 seconds left.

Ricardo is completely gassed and hurt…. he gets up with 4 seconds left and Shane unleashes a vicious left hook. Ricardo hits the mat as the bell rings and the referee says the fight is over. I’m not sure if this is ruled a knockout or not…

The official word… Knockout at 2:59 of round number 12 LOL
