Cole …. You Stupid.

I don’t get it.

I don’t understand the reason why someone like Pacman Jones (who was suspended almost 2 year by Roger Goodell for bad behavior), would get into an altercation with his bodyguard not even 60 days after he was reinstated. When Pacman was allowed back into the league, he was told on no uncertain terms that his leash was extremely short, and it would be in his best interests to chill out.

Obviously the suspension, lost wages, mentoring from Deion Sanders, and threats of a lifetime ban hasn’t fully sunk in just yet, because Pacman is still getting into trouble.

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam Jones got into a fight with one of his security guards at a downtown Dallas hotel on Wednesday morning, according to Dallas police.

Dallas Deputy Chief Vince Golbeck told the Dallas Morning News police were called to the scene at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Chief Golbeck told the News he thought Jones was staying at the hotel and may have been drinking.

There was no police report filed regarding the incident. No one was arrested and no one will be charged in connection with the fight.

Is this a serious offense? Absolutely not. Nobody got hurt and I’m sure the entire thing was squashed between Pacman and the bodyguard in a matter of hours (or will be very soon). But this does speak volumes in terms of recognizing that Jones just doesn’t “get it” yet. I fear all that talent will be wasted because he simply can’t get his head on straight.

With Terrence Newman injured right now, this would be Pac’s perfect chance to shape up and shine on the field…. hopefully he will.
