Chuck & Risse’s NFL Week 10 Picks
November 9th, 2008 . by Risse aka TownBizSportaphile is once again feeling kinda Sunday. With each passing week, the NFL Know-It-Alls scores fluctuate? Last week, Chuck got back in the game while I stunk it up. What will Week 10 bring?

New Orleans @ Atlanta
Chuck:Although ATL looked great last week, it was against the Raiders, which is almost like playing a college team. The Falcons have struggled against great quarterbacks all year so they’re going down. Saints win.
Risse: Roddy! Roddy! Roddy! I love that dude. I hope Drew Brees doesn’t ruin the day in ATL. You know how unpredictable that guy can be. Falcons win.

Tennessee @ Chicago
Chuck: I have two words for you. REX. Grossman. The Titans defense is going to sit back and wait for Rex to commit 3 turnovers and cruise to an easy victory. TEN wins.
Risse: I predict this one to be a battle royale. The undefeated Titans will have to work for every yard, but something tells me that LenDale White a.k.a. Sweet Thickness will have a big impact on the scoreboard. Titans pull it out.

Jacksonville @ Detroit
Chuck: They’re throwing Culpepper to the wolves after just joining the team this week. Jacksonville sucks but they arent bad enough to lose to a quarterback who’s literally been sitting at home for the last eight months right? Lets hope so. J’Ville wins.
Risse: Ladies, this is what we all have been waiting for: Daunte Culpepper is back in tight pants! Oh yes! I actually have a real reason to root for the Lions now. Just not this week..Jacksonville wins.

Seattle @ Miami
Chuck: Y’all know I ride hard in the yard for Miami… They’re my sweetheart pick to win the AFC East… They’re going to ride on Seattle. Phins win.
Risse: Plain and simple, the Seahawks suck. And, to think, I am typing this from a hotel room in Seattle. Miami Wildcats win.

Green Bay @ Minnesota
Chuck:This is actually a pretty difficult choice to make….both of these teams are very inconsistent. In the end I’m going to give the edge to Green Bay because … well.. I dont know why. Green Bay wins.
Risse: I love it anytime divisional and regional rivals face-off because you know it’s going to be some hard-hitting football going down. I think Aaron Rodgers will explode in this game. I’ll take the Pack.

Buffalo @ New England
Chuck: Buffalo is playing like….well… the Buffalo of old. Which means they’re starting to lose and let other teams have their way. New England takes this easily.
Risse: I need the Bills to get it together. Marshawn, talk to your boys! Buffalo wins.

St. Louis @ NY Jets
Chuck:Stephen Jackson is going to miss the game, so basically the Rams have no shot. NY Wins.
Risse: I support Jim Haslett and just the confidence boost that he has brought to the Rams. At the same time, the NY Bretts are tied for first. It will be showtime for Favre this week as New York gets the ‘W.’

Baltimore @ Houston
Chuck: Aahahahaha. Houston loses again. Same story different week. B-More Baby.
Risse: This is the make-up game from Week 3’s postponement and I already knew Chuck was going to hate. Some things are just that predictable. Anyone who has been reading this each week knows that I have the ultimate respect for Ray Ray & the Ravens defense. And sadly, Hurricane Sage Rosenfels will be starting at QB. He better not have another 4th quarter collapse or else he won’t make it out of the Reliant Stadium parking lot. That’s my word! I know I shouldn’t but I am rolling with MY TEXANS! Yee!

Carolina @ Oakland
Chuck: Until Oakland can show that they can at last get a first down in every quarter of the game, they are on punishment. Carolina wins.
Risse: The Raiders are pathetic. Need I say more? Panthers win.

Indianapolis @ Pittsburgh
Chuck: Big Ben is hurting and Willie Parker will miss ANOTHER game, but I just find it very hard to root against Pittsburgh. I’m going with the steelers.
Risse: I need the Steelers to blitz like crazy & my boy Troy Polamalu to grab about 3 interceptions from Big-head Peyton. That would truly make my weekend complete. And I hope we see more good stuff from Big Byron Leftwich! Steelers got it.

Kansas CIty @ San Diego
Chuck: Phillip Rivers and the boys are going to put KC out of their misery. Is Larry Johnson still suspended? Not that it matters much anyways. SD wins.
Risse: If San Diego loses this game, it solidifies that they are truly the underachievers I thought they were. Chargers win.

NY Giants @ Philadelphia
Chuck: I actually am going to predict an upset here… The Giants are a little overconfident, and if theres anybody who can go toe to toe with them, its McNabb and the boys. However, I’ll go with the safe pick and say Brandon Jacobs rumbles over the competition. Giants win.
Risse: I have this on tap as the game of the week. I really don’t know who to pick on this one. When in doubt, I always roll with ‘The Blacks.’ That’s just how I am. Don’t make me sorry for it, McNabb. Philly wins [barely.]

San Francisco @ Arizona
Chuck: I feel bad that Mike Singletary has to make his MNF debut against such a devestating Arizona offense. Old man Warner throws for 350 as usual… Cardinals win
Risse: Excuse me, can somebody–anybody–at NFL Headquarters tell me why this is the Monday Night Football game? Seriously, the Niners on MNF? Stop joshing! Of course, Coach Singletary will provide enormous entertainment. Well, at least something good comes from all of this as American women will have the luxury of witnessing the ass of Larry Fitzgerald live. It’s truly a work of art. Cardinals win.
