Here’s the video of Joey Porter’s interview with ESPN on the topic of handguns and athletes. Joey was shot in the leg a few years back and now carries a weapon for his own protection. There seems to be a huge disconnect on this issue between young black males and everyone else, which becomes painfully obvious when you read some of the opinions of the media.

For every knucklehead like Plaxico Burress and Tank Johnson who take guns to clubs, there are athletes like Antoine Walker, Dunta Robinson, Steve Smith, and Sean Taylor who were robbed at their own homes. So this is issue is not strictly black and white.
