Joe Buck Takes Over For Bob Costas; Promptly Slayed By Artie Lange

June 16th, 2009 . by Dell

Last night was the premiere of Joe Buck Live, which is the replacement for Bob Costas Now on HBO. Brett Favre, Chad Johnson, and Michael Irvin were pretty entertaining as guests, but the last segment featuring Artie Lange of the Howard Stern show ended up being the kicker.

I won’t get into how it started, but all you need to know is Artie and Buck spent the end of the show taking little comedic potshots at each other. Artie (understandably) got the best of Joe Buck and the show ended. What you’ll see below is the “overtime” segment which only airs on the internet after the actual TV broadcast is done.

This is what happens when a TV personality who thinks he’s funny goes against a real comic and gets his ass handed to him. Buck’s quick one-liners during an MLB game are really no match comedy professional…..especially a fat one who has probably had to do “come backs” on people his entire life.

Now that I think of it…. why in the hell was Artie Lange a guest on this show in the first place?
