Who’s Going To Step Up To Fight Paul Williams?

October 1st, 2008 . by Dell

The welterweight and middleweight divisions are rich with talent. Anywhere from 147lbs to 160lbs you can find numerous world class fighters capable of being champions.

…….and NONE of them want any parts of Paul Williams.

Antonio Margarito is currently #1 on fans lists as the pound for pound best fighter in the world, and he won’t even entertain a rematch with the one man who kicked his ass in 2007. Floyd Mayweather is retired, Shane Mosley doesn’t want any, Miguel Cotto doesn’t want any, and Oscar De La Hoya wants to pick on 135 pounders.

The only man willing to face off with Paul is Joshua Clottey, which will be a good fight, but it lacks the intrigue and money that Williams deserves.

Here is Paul in action from this past Saturday, kicking the ever loving sh-t out of a poor fellow named Andy Kolle.

Here’s the video of what many consider to be the fight of the year. I’ve included 2 videos in this post (both videos are the exact same thing). So if one of them doesn’t work, simply press play on the other.

Video: Kendall Holt vs. Ricardo Torres II [ROUND OF THE YEAR!!]

July 6th, 2008 . by Dell

Almost all fight fans were tuned into Quentin “Rampage” Jackson vs. Forrest Griffin on PPV tonight…however, the most exciting bout on Saturday night was between Kendall Holt and Ricardo Torres for the junior welterweight title. This is unquestionably the best single round of boxing you’ll see all year. It’s not on the level of “Castillo vs. Corrales” … but it’s the closest I’ve seen since.

Take a look at the fight below (and you can catch my thoughts on the fight at the bottom of this post, I didn’t want to ruin the outcome for those who don’t know yet)

I write the following under the impression that Ricardo Torres is now okay and only suffers from a bruised ego….

LMAO @ how he slumped into a lifeless heap on the ropes, I originally thought he was simply taking a knee due to the punch, but after a few seconds I realized he was unconscious. He really looked like a human scarecrow …..Although Holt hit him with an unintentional headbutt, that last right punch was absolutely devastating. I loved Holt’s post fight interview catchphrase…

“I don’t back down… I lay backs down”

yes you do sir… yes you do. Read the rest of this entry »
