The WWF/WWE announced that they are making a transition from “edgier content” to a more family friendly product.

Speaking as someone who was a fan during the ‘Attitude’ era of the late nineties, this is truly a horrible turn of events. Almost every great moment I can remember from the WWF involves some random act of extreme violence or sex.

Remember The Undertaker throwing Mankind from the top of the cell?
Remember Brian Pillman pulling a gun on Steve Austin?
Remember Mae Young showing her old…crusty..shriveled titties to the entire world? (nasty, but funny)

None of these moments will ever happen again under the new format. They’re officially going back to the late 80s/early 90s mode of over the top cheesiness.
